Reed Research Info

In 1909, Clara Reed and her brothers James and Howard were taken to Belleville, KS on an Orphan  Train. They were orphaned when their parents and older sister died of pneumonia & tuberculosis. She  and Howard were taken by the Dowell family, however Clara moved on to live with Rev. & Mrs.  Duckett.

Clara's social security application of 1988  identified her birth parents as  Fred Reed and Gertrude Partridge.... from that info I was able to gather more info and determine  Fred's and Gertrude's  parents,  ie,  the 3 kids grandparents

Fred's death info in 1907  by 1909 Gertrude died also

Fred was born Jul 1867 Kingsbury Episcopi, Somerset, England  died may 09 1907  Jefferson county, New York  immigrated to u.s.   1892   per 1900 NY census but 1893 per ellis island records

Fred married Gertrude Partridge in 1896
